Some changes to file attributes performed by File Buddy dictate a change in an item's appearance in the Finder. The most significant of these changes are a change in the item's icon to reflect a change in file type or creator, and a change in visibility resulting from setting or clearing the Invisible Finder flag.
What File Buddy is doing
File Buddy uses code which notifies the Finder of changes made by the info window, and future releases will add code to notify the Finder of changes made by other parts of File Buddy.
Why it isn't producing the desired result
Unfortunately, there are bugs in the Mac OS X Finder which prevent the aforementioned notification from producing the desired result. Apple is aware these issues and will address them in a future release of Mac OS X. The notification code does help, as changes now show up if you close and reopen the parent folder (even that didn't do it before). The invisible issue is more stubborn and is the result of a known bug in Mac OS X. It amy be necessary to log out and log back in to see changes in visibility.
